Growing up, art was always a part of their natural habitat. Mother Edwina Hartner had been oil painting and teaching China Painting since Ginger was a child in grade school. Still, when ever family gets together, be it just two of them or the whole family, there are two subjects that always come up, horses and art. Whether its Oils, Acrylics, Crayons, China Painting, Photography, Crafts, what ever, Art is always there in some form. Ginger has been painting, drawing and crafting since her earliest of memories. Ginger has been painting horse portraits for people since 1981, which are now hanging in homes throughout the State of Maryland. One can find her welcome plaques in many of the finest saddlery shops in Maryland. While it is true that most of her work revolves around horses, her fist love, it is not limited to horses. She has a great love of nature, animals, and things of the past that bring a warm memory to ones heart. Being a creature of nature herself these are the things which she enjoys expressing in art.
